I took several days off after completing my first sprint tri of the season to recoup and relax. I had been training hard for months and enjoyed multiple days of Misty time without alot of training. Last Tuesday I took it to the track and for 30 mins recovery run (2.8 miles) and Wednesday at the pool I completed 1500.
Saturday morning was the CB&I triathlon in The Woodlands and I volunteered in transition mainly with body marking and then helping the athletes in and out of transition. Lots of Team Strive was there, some racing and the rest volunteering. Congrats to Kristen on her 1st place AG win and Lauren, Stu and Scott on 1st place mixed relay.
Sunday morning I felt like I had been run over by a bus, I guess my legs are not used to doing squats, note to self something to add to my training plan.
Monday still felt sore and relaxed at home with a tube of Biofreeze. Also yesterday I signed up for Tejas sprint on June 6th. This will be my longest sprint race thus far.
Hope to see you on the roads soon!

Volunteering is sometimes harder than doing the race itself. It definitely works different muscles.
Good luck with your training for Tejas. It should be a blast
Glad you've signed up for another already! Awesome!
