I find I hardly have time to sit and blog it seems life gets so busy between work, workouts, being a wife, a daughter and a friend. Sometimes I feel life gets past me and in no time a year has passed. I get caught up in the hussell and bussell, I try to make mental notes or leaves my self messages on the way home from work at work to remember to pay this bill or make this phone call when I get to work in the morning. I lye in bed at night and my mind races with what I left undone only to forget it it again in the morning. So I decided to take a breather this morning to write a few lines.
Yesterday I met up with Team Strive for a bike ride, most did 57 miles since they are all training for IM Florida. I did 23! It was a nice ride with a few hills, the weather was nice (if I can say that about Houston in June). Brandy and I avg'd 16.1 (which is good for me) Logan and I had a wonderful brunch together before we headed to my father in-laws for an afternoon of the US open and disgusta-burgers(burgers).
Friday night after work I met up with some running friends for what was supposed to be an 8 miler, until it was cut short since the sky opened up and it was just plain dumb to be out running. So I got in 5.25. The bad in this run is now my blackberry nor my Garmin made it out alive. So I will be calling Garmin this morning to see about getting a new watch asap.
Hope to see you on the roads soon!
Happy Father's Day to all dads.
Oh and I am down 2.2lbs.

A new journey that starts with the next 17 weeks
Today I began my 17 week journey to weight loss. Yes I run, yes I swim and yes I bike and the pounds are slowly but surely creeping back. It is time I watch what I stuff in mouth. Today I joined Weight Watchers and have already consumed almost all of my points. Not the best start, but a start to my journey.

My Newest Purchase
My most recent purchase was the speedfill hydration system and so far so good. It holds 40oz of fluids, which is more than I need for a 20 mile bike ride. Since I am training for sprint distances I have not used it for a ride longer than 20 miles but I had plenty of fluids left when I finished. I love not having to grab for a water bottle every time I need a drink, the drink tube runs up the frame of my bike and comes out between my areo bars. Right now it is a little manufactured since my bike is smaller than most (all) and it barely fits on my frame. A great purchase for $99.
Hope to see you on the roads soon!
